The Division released its first free update this morning and with it came it's first new Incursion, The Division's version of raids. The Incursion is hardest mission available in the game so far. So hard, even the lead designer hasn't been able to clear it. The Incursions are built and balanced for 4 high level players, so gather a team if you wanna give that a try.
In the meantime, I wonder how many eagle-eyed Agents have noticed that the new Incursion, titled Broken Circle, has already appeared on the game map.
The new Incursion has a recommended gear level of 220, implying that in the next free update there could be newer gear sets with high gear levels coming.
Of course, this is all just my own speculation, but I can't imagine come as a surprise to many gamers. Especially gamers who've played Destiny at all. It's nothing new for RPGs to out class it's on gear with shinier gear right around the corner and The Division is no exception but after the launch of Year Two last Sept, Destiny players know what it's like for all the best end-game gear to suddenly be outclassed by new gear after a large update.
That said, I don't expect Ubisoft Massive to do anything quite on the scale of the massively unpopular nerfing of Year One exotics, it certainly makes one wonder just what could Ubi Massive be planning in their next update?
Is this an elaborate ploy to call attention to the new Incursion and build hype? Could they be trying to get journalists (and small time indie writers) to talk about the "new" Incursion even before the first one is "old" yet? Could I be reading too much into it? Actually, that last one is the most likely candidate.
